Dr. Samantha Baginski
Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician
Dr. Samantha Baginski graduated from medical school at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, she left Illinois and traveled down to San Antonio to complete her residency at the UT Health San Antonio Family and Community Medicine program and eventually served as chief resident. During residency, she was honored to be recognized as the UT Health Family and Community Medicine Intern of the Year, as well as received the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award. She then completed her fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine with CHRISTUS Health.
Dr. Baginski enjoys working on the sidelines of local high school football games, covering boxing matches through USA Boxing, as well as being a part of the medical team for the University of the Incarnate Word and Our Lady of the Lake University.
She is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. Within the field of sports medicine, concussion management, and ultrasound-guided injections are of particular interest to her.
Sports and being active have always been an integral part of her life, she grew up wake surfing, paddle boarding, and wakeboarding at lakes in the Midwest. Additionally, Dr. Baginski has played tennis throughout her life and continues to play in local tennis leagues around San Antonio, as well as with her husband.
